Steps – Add Beneficiary in Canara Internet Banking
Whenever you choose to transfer the fund either within Canara Bank or Transfer to other bank, you will be required to add beneficiary first. Follow these steps –
Step 1 – Login to Canara Internet Banking Account with “USER NAME” and “PASSWORD”.
Step 2 – Choose “FUND TRANSFER” option and click on “BENEFICIARY MAINTENANCE”.
Step 3 – Click on “ADD BENEFICIARY” and Select “TRANSACTION TYPE” – Within Canara Bank or Transfer to Other Bank (NEFT/IMPS/RTGS).
Follow Step 4 to Step 6 – If account is “within the Canara Bank”
Step 4 – Enter the following details in form –
- Beneficiary Short Name
- Beneficiary Account Number
- Confirm Beneficiary Account Number
Click on “Add”.

Step 5 – On Next Screen, Check the details of the beneficiary. If correct, click on “CONFIRM”.
Step 6 – Enter “TRANSACTION PASSWORD” and “OTP PASSWORD” received on your registered mobile number and SUBMIT.
A message will be displayed on screen
“Beneficiary Created Successfully. Transaction with reference number xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx is in Accepted state.”
Follow Step 7 to Step 9 – if “Transfer to Other Bank (NEFT/IMPS/RTGS)”
Step 7 – Fill the following details in Add Beneficiary Form – NEFT/IMPS/RTGS
- Beneficiary Short Name
- Beneficiary Name
- Beneficiary Account Number
- Confirm Beneficiary Account Number
- IFSC Code
- Bank Name
- Branch Name
Click on “Add”.
Step 8 – On Next screen, Check the details of beneficiary. If correct then click on “CONFIRM”.
Step 9 – Enter “TRANSACTION PASSWORD” and “OTP PASSWORD” received on your registered mobile number and SUBMIT.
A message will be displayed on screen –
“Beneficiary Created Successfully. Transaction with reference number xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx is in Accepted state.”
How to Delete Beneficiary in Canara Internet Banking
If you wish to delete the beneficiary details or account from your canara internet banking, follow these steps –
Step 1 – Click on “BENEFICIARY MAINTENANCE” under “FUND TRANSFER” Option.
Step 2 – Choose “VIEW BENEFICIARIES” and Select options – “WITHIN THE CANARA BANK” or “TRANSFER TO OTHER BANK”
Step 3 – Select the beneficiary which you want to delete and Click on “DELETE”.
Step 4 – On Next Screen, Verify the Beneficiary details if correct, click on “CONFIRM”.
Step 5 – A message will be displayed on screen –
“Beneficiary deleted successfully. Transaction with reference number xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx is in Accepted State”.
