Check Bank account and Aadhaar linkage status online – As we all are aware about that Government has made it mandatory for financial institutions to link bank account with Aadhaar. As per recent notification dated 1^st June 2017, the deadline to link bank account with aadhaar number was set at Dec 31, 2017. Accounts remain unlinked with aadhaar will be made inoperable after the 31^st December. On 25^th October 2017, the deadline was extended by 3 months (up to 31^st March 2018) for those people who still don’t have Aadhaar number.

Aadhaar number can be linked with bank account using different ways – online banking, SMS, ATM and submitting Aadhaar card copy to bank branch where you are maintaining account. But sometime you fail to link your aadhaar number with bank account due to some technical issue or some other issue.

But UIDAI has enabled the facility to check Aadhaar linkage status with bank account. Here is how you can check Aadhaar and Bank account linkage status on UIDAI website.

Step wise procedure to check Aadhaar and bank account linkage status

Step 1 : Visit UIDAI website – www.uidai.gov.in

Step 2  : Click on “Check Aadhaar & Bank Account Linking Status” under “Aadhaar Services” Section.

Step 3 : Enter Your Aadhaar number, Security Code and Click on “Send OTP”.

Step 4 : An OTP will be send on your registered mobile number. Enter the OTP and Click on Login.

Step 5 : A new window will open showing the details of bank where Aadhaar is linked along with Aadhaar linking date.

Note : If you have multiple bank accounts linked with aadhaar number. It will show only the last bank account linked with your aadhaar number.

How to check Aadhaar linkage with bank account using mobile USSD 

Step 1 : Dial *99*99*1#

Step 2 : Enter your 12 Digit Aadhaar Number.

Step 3 : Confirm that the Aadhaar Number entered by You is correct else Change it.

Step 4 : After sending confirmation, A message with detail of bank name and aadhaar linking date will be displayed on mobile screen.

Also Remember, you can check the Aadhaar linkage status using above methods only when your mobile number is linked with Aadhaar number.
