Dear Sir,

Reg: Annual Closing on 01-04-2018

As you are aware, 31-3-2017 falls on Saturday and hence the State Governments/RBI have declared 1-4-2018 (Sunday) for Annual Closing of Accounts. Since it is a regular weekly off, Annual Closing needs to be shifted to 2-4-2018.

Further, 1-4-2018 happens to Easter Sunday and it is a festive holiday in some of the States.

We request you to take up the matter appropriately so that 2-4-2018 (Monday) is declared as a bank holiday for the public for Annual Closing of Accounts.

Thanking you,

Yours faithfully,

C.H. VENKATACHALAM
